I’m at the age where I am starting…

I’m at the age where I am starting to question why everyone around me needs to document themselves so much.

First, It was the teenagers, and then the twenty-somethings and now 50+ year olds photographing themselves and sharing the photos as If there Is a demand for them….and there appears to be.

I am both within my age group and a spectator looking outside of It. Although I acknowledge social media, I never dreamed mature adults would spend so much time on It. For the time being it Is here to stay and so I find solace In private times with like minded people who are ok with living life without having to photograph every piece of It.

Porch time with no selfies, screen shots or photo shoots. I continue to dream of books and beautiful things like an amazing view from my porch, the impromptu soccer game in the park and a neighbor stopping by to chat. Daydream finished, I pick up my book and read. I hear the birds chirping, the sound of squirrel footsteps going up the trees and the breeze across the front yard…The perfect picture that no one will ever see
